EMPEX Digital is looking for an experienced website developer with strong WordPress, React, Next.js, JavaScript and CSS skills to support high-quality client website and web application projects.

About this role
- Build and improve professional websites and web applications for EMPEX Digital clients.
- Work with WordPress, React, Next.js, JavaScript and CSS across different project requirements.
- Write clean, structured, maintainable code without relying on AI assistance.
- Use GitHub confidently for version control, branches, commits and collaboration.
- Support deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting on AWS-hosted server environments.
- Work comfortably with Ubuntu systems and terminal-based development workflows.
- Communicate clearly about technical decisions, progress, blockers and project requirements.
What we are looking for
- You must currently be based in the United Kingdom. Applicants based outside the UK will not progress to interview.
- Strong experience building websites or web applications in a professional or commercial environment.
- Good working knowledge of WordPress, React, Next.js, JavaScript and CSS.
- Good knowledge of GitHub and standard Git workflows.
- Experience working with AWS servers or cloud-hosted Linux server environments.
- Good understanding of Ubuntu systems and confidence using the Ubuntu terminal.
- Ability to write clean code independently without AI assistance.
- Willingness to complete a knowledge and practical coding test as part of the selection process.
- Professional attitude, attention to detail and ability to work responsibly on client projects.
