EMPEX Digital Is Simplifying Its Services for Better Project Delivery

EMPEX Digital is updating the way we present and deliver several of our services. These changes are designed to make our offers clearer, improve project quality, and ensure that every service supports a practical business outcome.

As part of this update, SEO and digital strategy are now combined into one connected service. Cloud hosting, website maintenance, and technical support will no longer be sold as separate services for websites built elsewhere. Instead, they will be available through optional aftercare plans for websites and applications developed by EMPEX Digital.

We are also retiring our pay-monthly website packages. New website projects will now be planned, priced, and delivered according to their actual scope, functionality, and business requirements.

These changes allow us to focus more closely on the quality of each project, create clearer responsibilities after launch, and provide clients with a more sustainable service structure.

Businesses planning a new website, redesign, application, or digital growth project can explore our Web Design and Development service, review our combined SEO and Digital Growth service, or book a consultation.

Why we are changing our service structure

As EMPEX Digital has grown, the type of work we deliver has also developed. Our projects increasingly involve more than creating a few website pages. They may include custom booking systems, enquiry workflows, payment integrations, AI features, customer notifications, secure cloud infrastructure, analytics, SEO foundations, and ongoing technical support.

A simple list of separate services no longer represented how these areas work together. Website design affects SEO, hosting affects performance, technical maintenance affects security, and digital strategy influences how the entire project supports the client’s wider business goals.

The updated structure reflects this connection. Rather than presenting every technical task as an isolated service, we are organising our work around the complete client journey: planning, development, launch, growth, and optional ongoing aftercare.

This also makes it easier for clients to understand what they are purchasing. Each project will have a defined scope, clear deliverables, and suitable options for what happens after launch.

SEO and digital strategy are now one connected service

SEO and digital strategy were previously presented as separate EMPEX Digital services. In practice, the two areas regularly overlap.

SEO should not be treated only as adding keywords or adjusting page titles. Effective search visibility depends on understanding the business, its audience, competitors, services, content opportunities, customer journey, website structure, and long-term goals.

Digital strategy provides that wider direction. It helps determine which services should be prioritised, what type of content is needed, how visitors should move through the website, which channels deserve attention, and how results should be measured.

Combining these areas creates a stronger and more practical service. Our updated SEO and Digital Growth offer can include technical SEO reviews, service-page optimisation, content planning, local search foundations, conversion improvements, analytics, campaign preparation, and guidance around emerging areas such as AI search visibility.

Clients will no longer need to decide whether they require SEO or digital strategy before speaking with us. We can review the wider situation and build a plan around the business objectives that matter most.

Cloud hosting and maintenance are moving into aftercare

Cloud hosting was previously available as a separate EMPEX Digital service. Website support and maintenance were also offered independently through standalone plans.

Going forward, these services will be combined into optional aftercare plans available for websites and applications built by EMPEX Digital.

This change gives us better control over the quality, security, and reliability of the projects we support. When our team develops a website or application, we understand its structure, dependencies, integrations, deployment process, and technical requirements. That knowledge allows us to provide more effective ongoing support.

Supporting an unfamiliar website built by another provider can be much less predictable. The project may use outdated plugins, undocumented custom code, insecure configurations, unsupported dependencies, or hosting environments that were not designed for its current needs.

A low monthly maintenance fee may appear simple, but it can create unclear responsibilities when the underlying system has serious technical problems. By limiting aftercare to EMPEX-built projects, we can set clearer standards from the beginning and provide support that is better matched to the project.

What an optional aftercare plan can include

Aftercare is intended to protect the work completed during the original project. Depending on the chosen plan and the complexity of the website or application, it may include managed hosting, software updates, security monitoring, backups, performance checks, technical support, minor content assistance, analytics reporting, or ongoing SEO support.

The exact level of support will be agreed before or during the project handover. This gives clients a clear understanding of what is included, what response times apply, and which tasks would require a separate development quote.

Aftercare will remain optional. A client is not required to host their finished website or application with EMPEX Digital simply because we developed it.

Clients who prefer another hosting provider can receive the project codebase and relevant handover information. We can also assist with domain connection, deployment preparation, and transfer requirements where these tasks are included in the project agreement.

This approach gives clients flexibility while keeping responsibilities clear. Those who want a managed solution can choose aftercare, while those with their own technical team or hosting arrangement can take control of the completed project.

Domain ownership will remain with the client

A business domain is an important digital asset, so clients should understand who owns it and how it is managed.

Where possible, we recommend that the client remains the registered owner of their domain. EMPEX Digital can help with choosing a domain, configuring DNS records, connecting the domain to the website, setting up SSL, and managing the technical settings required for launch.

Some clients may prefer us to assist with the full setup, while others may already have a domain registered with another provider. Both situations can be supported as part of the agreed project scope.

The important point is that domain ownership, renewals, access, and responsibilities should be clear. A client should not become unnecessarily dependent on an agency simply to retain control of their own business name online.

Pay-monthly websites are no longer available

EMPEX Digital will no longer offer pay-monthly website packages for new projects.

The pay-monthly model can appear attractive because it reduces the initial payment, but it does not always reflect the real complexity of modern website development. Two businesses may both request a “business website” while requiring completely different functionality, integrations, content, design work, and technical infrastructure.

A fixed monthly package can create limitations when a project needs custom features or greater development time. It can also make it less clear when the client owns the completed website, what happens when payments stop, and which services are included throughout the agreement.

New projects will instead receive a scope-based proposal. The quotation will reflect the actual design, development, integrations, content requirements, and launch preparation involved.

This provides greater transparency. Clients will understand what is being developed, what the project costs, when payments are due, and what will happen after completion.

Payment schedules may still be arranged for larger projects, but these will form part of a defined project agreement rather than an open-ended pay-monthly website subscription.

What is not changing

The core purpose of EMPEX Digital remains the same: helping businesses use technology more effectively.

We will continue designing and developing professional websites, e-commerce platforms, custom applications, booking systems, AI-powered features, business automations, smart notification workflows, and digital growth solutions.

The difference is that these services will now be presented through a clearer structure. Website projects will be planned around business needs rather than generic packages. SEO and digital strategy will work together. Hosting and support will be connected to the projects we build, and clients will have a clear choice between managed aftercare and external project handover.

This updated approach supports better communication before development begins and reduces uncertainty after launch.

What the changes mean for new clients

New clients can expect a more focused consultation and proposal process. We will review the business goals, required functionality, target audience, existing systems, preferred hosting arrangement, and expected support needs before recommending a solution.

A proposal may include the initial website or application project, relevant integrations, domain assistance, launch preparation, and an optional aftercare recommendation. Services that do not add meaningful value to the project will not be included simply to make the package larger.

The goal is to create a solution that is suitable for the business now while also considering how it may need to develop in the future.

Clients will also have clearer choices after launch. They can continue with an EMPEX Digital aftercare plan or request a codebase handover for deployment and management elsewhere.

A clearer model for long-term partnerships

These service changes are not about reducing support. They are about providing support in a way that is more responsible and sustainable.

When development, hosting, maintenance, SEO, and strategy are treated as unrelated services, important connections can be missed. A technical decision made during development may affect future SEO. A hosting limitation may affect performance. A poorly planned update process may affect security.

Our new structure helps us consider those relationships earlier. It also allows clients to see where one project ends and an ongoing service begins.

For clients who choose aftercare, we can continue supporting a system we already understand. For clients who prefer independence, we can provide a structured handover without forcing them into a long-term hosting arrangement.

Both options are valid, and the right choice will depend on the client’s internal resources, technical confidence, budget, and long-term plans.

Final thoughts

EMPEX Digital is simplifying its services to provide clearer proposals, stronger project delivery, and more reliable ongoing support.

SEO and digital strategy are now one connected service focused on visibility, content, customer journeys, and measurable growth. Cloud hosting, support, and maintenance will be available as optional aftercare for websites and applications developed by our team. Pay-monthly website packages have been retired in favour of transparent, scope-based project quotations.

Clients will still have flexibility after launch. They can choose managed aftercare, receive help with their domain, or request a codebase handover for hosting elsewhere.

These changes represent the direction in which EMPEX Digital is growing: fewer disconnected services, clearer responsibilities, and more complete solutions built around real business requirements.
